"Get Married"

Bernadette Saunders, a wedding planner for The Kairos Moment invited me to the launch party for “Get Married” a national TV show on Lifetime. The party was at the Taj Lounge in New York City.  I was actually preparing my gear for a wedding at the historical Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia.

I decided to stop by the launch party and check it out.  Everyone at the party was so friendly.   I was asked to do a sound bite for the television show, and I said great!

I displayed my work on a table and I walked away, when I came back Bernadette and Loreen Ulrich, who works in Advertising at Getting Married were talking and Loreen commented how she admired my work and then introduced me to Stacie Francombe, the Founder and CEO of Get Married.  Stacy was very down to earth and I liked how she expressed the importance of family.  She had been on a launch party tour from city to city.  She expressed she missed her kids and looked forward to going home in Atlanta to be with them.  What a coincidence?   I informed her I was on my way to shoot a wedding in Atlanta at the historical Fox Theatre.  She invited me to call the Atlanta office location for a tour and then she asked her personal photographer to take a photo of us together.  Well I had I a great time at the party and met some nice people.  I never had and opportunity to meet the host David Tutera because I had to catch my flight to Atlanta Ga.  David is someone I would like to work an event with one day.

I arrive in Atlanta the day before the wedding visiting the fabulous Fox Theatre and I loved the architect style that my creative imagination was flowing. The Wedding for Josh and Shenika was a morning wedding.  The groom was calm and the bride was adorning herself and she was concerned about being on time.  The wedding ceremony was elegant with a harpist playing as she walked down to meet her groom.   At the end of the ceremony they were swiftly taken away to the theatre for their formals.   Once the bride and groom walked into the theatre the ballet performers stopped their rehearsal and gave them a standing ovation. Josh And Shenika had a smile on their face that expressed the joy of that moment!

The reception was great and I had a wonderful time and now I am packing and awaiting my next destination and photo shoot until next time.
